Why it is still worth investing in solar farms in Italy?

HIGHIGH ENERGY YELDS, LOW TEMPERATURES AND ENERGY BILL SLUMP

For ground-based system the word is: "not-just-Puglia-and-Sicily". Central Italian Regions offer comparable PV yelds - a difference of less than 90 kWh/kWp as estimated by JRC/PVGIS, but windier conditions not appraised by PVGIS software. Leaner and straighter permit procedures reduce the time-to-operation and a comparably stronger grid structure allows for cheaper grid-connections.

Solar Farm operates in Abruzzi and Marche Regions in the development of fully licensed and bankable projects.

Interesting opportunities are offered by the large roofs on commercial, manufacturing and logistic companies. The investor and the company would joint venture the investment in percentage of their respective earnings: the company benefits from an immediate energy bill reduction while the investor gains a higher tariff for full- or semi-BIPV plants (in case of non-BIPV the FIT increases of an extra 5% thanks to the auto-consumption of the PV-energy produced). Compared to ground-based installations, roof-top installations have lower opex (insurance, surveillance, building-shared cost of O&M) and may also be viable for Corporate Social Responsibility programs. .
